Encyclopaedia Britannica® Expands Licensing Program with Phoenix International Publications

Deerfield, Illinois (December 1, 2014) – JRL Group announced it has secured a licensing partnership between Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc. and Phoenix International Publications, Inc. to develop and market a line of high-quality educational products under the Britannica Kids brand. JRL Group is Encyclopaedia Britannica’s exclusive licensing agency.

The first product, Britannica Interactive Animal Library, is now available at leading retailers including Costco, Costco Canada, and Toys ‘R’ Us. The Britannica Kids Interactive Animal Library is an 8-book boxed set, complete with the following titles: Tooth & Claw, Reptiles, Birds, Bugs, Extinct Animals, Amazing Mammals, Sea Animals, and Hoof & Horns. Each book is made up of interesting facts and questions and includes vivid photos and illustrations about a number of captivating animals. The set includes an interactive pen that lights up and provides audio answers to the quiz at the end of each section.

This partnership, among others, adds to the wide array of Encyclopaedia Britannica and Britannica Kids–branded educational products sold at retail and online. The Britannica Interactive Animal Library will complement the launch of previous items at retail, including the Britannica Interactive Science Library, the Britannica U.S. Talking Puzzles, and the Britannica Kids: U.S. Presidents app on iTunes.

MEDL Mobile and Encyclopaedia Britannica ® Introduce New Feature to U.S. Presidents App to Celebrate President’s Day

Fountain Valley, CA (February, 2014) – MEDL Mobile, Inc. a pioneer in the creation, development, marketing and monetization of mobile apps, and Encyclopaedia Britannica announced today an update to their mobile app, “Britannica Kids: U.S. Presidents,” just in time for President’s Day.

The app, which launched at the start of 2012, includes games, facts and quizzes on each president’s birthday, First Lady, vice president, and a number of interesting fast facts. Now users will experience a mobilized, educational and factual biography for all 44 U.S. presidents. Each president’s biography is chronologically listed from early life to education, to political career and presidential term.

In addition, “Britannica Kids: U.S. Presidents” will have improved functionality and a more compatible user interface that is optimized for iPhone 5 and the iOS 6 operating system, allowing users to smoothly navigate through the app. Enhanced functionality for iPad 3 is forthcoming.

History Class Just Got Cooler Thanks to MEDL Mobile’s New Britannica Kids App

Fountain Valley,CA (January, 2012) – MEDL Mobile Holdings, Inc. an incubator and aggregator of mobile technology, announced today the launch of “Britannica Kids: U.S. Presidents,” its first mobile application developed for Encyclopaedia Britannica. The app, which is available for iPhones and iPads with iOS4 or greater, teaches young learners an important aspect of U.S. history by taking them on a fun and educational meet and greet with the 44 U.S. presidents. “Britannica Kids: U.S. Presidents” presents a wealth of interesting presidential facts and fun features.
